Karlie Knapek recently became a licensed physical therapist in August 2024. After earning her bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science in 2021 from Hardin-Simmons University in Abilene, TX, she was accepted into the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, where she completed her Doctorate of Physical Therapy. Karlie is thrilled to start her physical therapy career at Tideway Physical Therapy, serving the Galveston community that she has come to love over the past three years. Currently, Karlie lives on Galveston Island with her fiancée. When she’s not working, they often travel throughout Texas to visit family and friends. Having played volleyball for four years at Hardin-Simmons University, she continues to play at UTMB whenever she can. In addition to her role at Tideway, she is excited to coach a team for the Galveston Volleyball Club this upcoming season. With her volleyball background, Karlie has developed a passion for the sports world, particularly for treating athletes in various physical therapy settings.
